一、教材分析:
Arriving in Beijing是义务教育教科书冀教版小学英语五年级下册第九课,是一节典型的语法课。本课涉及到了一些不规则的可数名词单数变复数的词汇,在教学中教师应该注意帮助学生进行归类总结,帮助其形成比较清晰的概念。
二、学情分析:
五年级的学生已经掌握了一定的单词、短语及句型,已经具有了初步的语言学习能力。但学生对可数名词单数变复数的规则与不规则形式并没有比较完整清晰的概念,区分起来存在一定的困难。通过本课的学习,应力求达到学生可以归纳整理并掌握一些可数名词单数变复数的规律。
三、教学目标:
1、知识目标:
学生通过本课的学习能够掌握单词:men, women, children, people, many.会认读单词:everyone.能够正确的使用句型“This is a _____.These are many_____.”
2、能力目标:
学生能够熟练掌握和识记本课单词,能够运用本课所学知识用英语表达在各个场所中看到的、听到的人和事。在教学过程中培养学生以旧带新掌握一定的语言技巧的能力。
3、情感目标:
培养学生良好的文化意识和英语语感。启发学生在社会中应做到尊老爱幼、遵守社会公共秩序。
四、教学重点、难点:
1、教学重点:学生能够掌握单词men, women, children, people, many.
2、教学难点:学生能利用本课所学知识结合实际活动情况进行交际练习。
五、教学准备:
多媒体设备、教学幻灯片、学生用表格。
六、教学过程:
Step 1: Class Opening and Review:
1.Greet the students with the familiar phrases like this:
Hello! Everyone.
How are you today?

【设计意图】:上课伊始,教师与学生自然的问候可以使学生快速融入英语学习氛围,同时为下一步教学做铺垫。
2.Chant
【设计意图】:节奏欢快的chant可以激发学生的学习兴趣,激活学生原有的知识,为学习新知识和知识的输出做必要的准备。
Step 2: New Concepts:
Part one: men, women and children.
1、Show a picture of train station to the students.
【设计意图】:通过设置情景,吸引学生注意力,复习旧知,不知不觉引入新知,自然街接。
T:Look! This is a man.(板书man)
What is he doing?
(观看其他图片)引出men.板书并拼读men.从音形区别man 和men.
2.用同样 方法 教授单词women.
3. (观看其他图片)介绍He/She is a boy/girl. He/She is a child.之后学习children。(板书)
Everyone is a child. You are children. Boys and girls are children. 板书、拼读children=child+ren.
直接引出Men, women and children are people.板书、拼读people.
【设计意图】:通过观察图片引出单词直观、形象,并在教授单词时说明各个单词之间的区别、记忆方法和技巧,渗透给学生一定的学习策略。
2. Chant:
Man,man,man,this is a man.Men, men, men, these are many men.
Woman,woman,woman,this is a woman.Women, women, women, these are many women.
Child,child,child,this is a child.Children, children, children, these are many children.
People, people, people,these are many people. Men, women, children,they are people.
【设计意图】:简洁明快、琅琅上口的chant,能够帮助学生很好的识记、巩固和掌握所学单词。学生易于接受。
Part two: People in the train station.
1.Show Li Ming,Danny,Jenny.Li Ming is a …(child). Danny is a …(child). Jenny is a …(child).Everyone is a child.They are children .They are arriving in Beijing. What are they doing?Who is hungry(带着问题第一次默读。)
【设计意图】:本环节的输出练习承上启下,学生带着明确的任务去默读课文,可以有效培养学生快速浏览的习惯,提高他们的阅读能力。
2.Ask the students to read this passage again,then talk about in pairs and fill in the blanks.(第二次朗读)

__________is tired and hungry.
There are many _______ in the BeijingTrain Station.

Step 3: Extend:
Show a picture. Ask the students to talk about them in pairs with the following questions:

The students can make up a short passage using the words they have learned today.
There are many people in the park.(更换地点)

Everyone is ___________.
Step 4: Class Closing.
Homework: Try to write a short passage about what do you see and what do the people do in someplace.( 地方 Just like : park、gym、classroom、department store and so on.)
